  change4life

Heights health club and the Fitness Industry Association are working in association

with the government's £275 million change4life campaign to encourage the nation to

"eat well, move more and live longer".

Did you know that if we carry on as we are, 9 out of 10 of today's kids risk growing up
with dangerous levels of fat in their bodies? This can cause serious illnesses like heart
disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes in later life. So it's really important that we all get
together and do something about it, now.

That's why at Heights Health Club we are supporting Change4life. It's a nationwide
movement which aims to help us all eat well, move more and live longer. And to make
this happen, Change4life needs people who work within local communities to help
   spread the word.

Look out for our displays in your local community to receive 8 Change4life tips on how
to eat well, move more and live longer.

If your family has not yet joined Change4life, why not do it today? You'll get lots of tips
and ideas to help you make sure you and your family are eating properly and getting
   enough exercise.

Here are some great ways to Change4Life.
1 Sugar Swaps:
Swapping food and drink with added sugar for options that are lower in sugar or
sugar-free.
2 5 A Day:
Making sure you eat at least five portions of a variety of fruit and veg every day.

5 Me Size Meals:
Making sure you the right sized portions for your age and size.
6 Cut Back Fat:
Taking simple steps to eat less fat by comparing food labels, swapping certain
foods for others and changing the way food is cooked and prepared.
7 60 Active Minutes:
Making sure kids do at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day and that
adults do at least 30 minutes 5 times per week.
8 Up and About:
Limiting 'sitting down' activities, like watching TV or playing computer games,
but instead do something more active.
